Good Evening From Florida. I am getting a late start today. It’s been one of those “Not feeling up to par days”. I slept in after Danny left. (I ALWAYS get up and send him off to work). Got up around 12:30 PM.
Laughing because I was obviously not working when this picture was taken. Solitaire.
That is the ONLY game I ever play. By myself.
I am not a game player.
Worked on Park Stuff on the computer. Waited for Danny to come home. It’s been so hot out and he is so worn out when he gets home, we haven’t been able to have snacks right away. That is good for me because I really don’t need them.
He drinks his iced tea by the glass full.
I apologized and laid down around 5. Next thing I knew Danny was laying down also.
He got up before I did.
I walked into the kitchen around 7:30 PM.
Danny was just sitting there. Tired and oh so worn out.
I am glad he works the next 3 days in the Ranger Station.
I just wish he didn’t have to work on the front ELECTRIC Gate when he gets out of the RS tomorrow afternoon. He will be working in the blazing SUN installing a new SOLAR PANEL and putting up a CAMERA. We had a solar panel STOLEN a few days ago. They are NOT CHEAP.

There was lot’s of great posts in the paper tonight. Some interesting TIDBITS that got my attention.
Does anyone associate cheese with a bank? I never had either. In one country It can be used as COLLATERAL. YEP, Cheese Is Money. It actually makes a lot of sense.
I would LOVE to have that cheese.

I really enjoyed the post coming up. I like learning which state enjoys which foods. I got a few surprises.
Also From Food & Wine:
EVERY STATE’S MOST UNIQUE FAVORITE FOOD, ACCORDING TO FOURSQAURE
I was surprised at the following:
New York’s Avocado Toast.
This took me by surprised , ALTHOUGH maybe I should have been. I have seen at least one avocado recipe here in this PAPER almost every day.
I love avocados but can’t imagine it ever being a favorite FAVORITE.The following was Copied and Pasted:
“Every state has its own regional cuisine, but agreeing on what that cuisine is or which state truly lays claim to which foods can be a matter of debate. Is Missouri better known for its Kansas City barbecue or St. Louis’s toasted ravioli? Does the lobster roll belong more to Massachusetts or to Maine? Foursquare thinks they have the answer.”
St. Louis does have great toasted ravioli but I would think that the Kansas City BBQ would beat that HANDS DOWN.
Californian’s are into Chinese Chicken Salad.

This surprised me.
I live in the Central part of the state. South of Orlando.
I haven’t noticed it being popular here.
We just don’t see it on the menu. We did have them on Pine Island which is on the Gulf Coast.
They are awesome.
What is the favorite in your state?
What’s Next on tonight’s line up?
There’s been another craze going on that I haven’t had the pleasure of trying out yet. Waffles and Fried Chicken.
I thought it a weird combination at first but it is growing on me.
Maybe that is why when I saw Fried Chicken and Pancakes , I thought, hey, I would like to try that.
So far , Food & Wine has my undivided attention tonight:
CHICKEN AND PANCAKES—BECAUSE WAFFLES SHOULDN’T HAVE ALL THE FUN

I’d want strawberries with my pancakes.
The following was Copied and Pasted:
“Though some form of the dish has been around since the 17th century, the version we know and love became popular in Harlem after hours at Wells Supper Club in the 1930s before inspiring restaurants dedicated to the dish like Roscoe’s to Gladys Knight’s (yes, that Gladys Knight).”
I never knew it had been around long. WOW.
As if I hadn’t shared enough by Food and Wine: Here’s one more Chicken Recipe for you:
