Friday’s Motivational Quote – September 18, 2015

favoritefivequotes1. Reading Is Sexy.

I personally think reading is very sexy. I get turned on when I see a guy read.
Of course Danny is usually reading about Science and Math.

  1. Motivation is when your dreams put on work clothes.

I like this. You need to work to make your dreams come true.
I also believe that you can enjoy working because of the rewards to follow.
It is a lot easier to work when you have goals in mind. Or you work together on a project.

3.The mind is like an umbrella. It functions best when open.

You must USE your mind or it withers away. I have learned the hard way.
You also need to KEEP AN OPEN MIND or you will never learn.

4.The harder I work the luckier I become.

This is my least favorite.
Sometimes you can work too hard and you wind up losing it all
I do understand what it means though.
When you put your heart and soul into what ever it is you are doing….
Your rewards will be that much greater.

5.Success is not the result of spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire.

No matter what you want or expect out of life….You can not sit there and do nothing.
Whatever happends is up to use. You are the only one to reach your goals.
Strive to do your best. Always do what ever you can to achieve those goals as long as it doesn’t hurt others. Be careful of what you go after.
Put your whole self into it.

Love, Light and Happiness being sent your way,
Sarah

  1. Sarah, Oh, how much I love number 5! I’m going to share that with my classes. I can just see some of my students waiting to spontaneously combust! Sometimes it’s so difficult to get teenagers to take that responsibility for their own success or failure. I teach freshmen, and it’s such a transitional period for them. I think they might just get the concept in the words of the quote!

    1. Rob, Physically I am doing a little better. Mentally, it’s getting harder to SMILE.
So I come here and SMILE a lot. It’s a typical day with Danny being off. My fixing breakfast and not getting a thank you or thhat was good . Somedays I handle it better. Today, it just hurts.
      I am good overall.

How has your week been. I haven’t been by to visit but I will soon. I promise.
      Love and hugs.
      Sarah

      1. Don’t worry about not visiting. I am coming by on your blog often to see how you’re doing. I feel like we have known each other for ages! I do get that with some internet friends and to me that’s amazing. I know what you mean by not getting a thank you. It hurts I know. I’m amazed at how honest you are on here. I have had better weeks myself but I am holding on. Thinking of you my friend. Many positive thoughts coming your way from a tiny island in the Mediterranean. The connection is real! 🙂

        1. Erika, I will. It has already started. Danny and I delivered the food for the group. Were invited for Drinks. I had ice tea. We stayed for a short while.
They thanked me for all the food.
It took us 2 trips and they helped us.
Danny is working at the park all weekend. Short handed there. He will go over first thing and then come back for the tour here.
I am hoping I can take the polaris and go along as well. I can come back earlier.
Then, I can rest and sleep the rest of the weekend.
If I can’t, they will be back multiple times.

          Any plans on your end?

          1. Busy for Danny and relaxing for you (more or less) 😊 My plans are a birthday party for my son (only he and his friends) and tomorrow I am driving to my teacher and mentor to Germany for a visit. Looking forward to that. Have a great one, Sarah 😊
