Good Afternoon Girls 👭⏰! Today we are in Acts 7📖.

Stephen gazed into heaven and saw the glory🔥 of God🙌! For those who love Jesus the sting of death is gone – and the power of death is broken🌸. He has conquered the grave👊!

What did you learn in your quiet time today?

I don’t do the SOAK Method shown here. I don’t have enough colored pens and frankly I don’t see the need to do it this way.
I know many women who do enjoy this method.

If you would like to know more, just go to their Facebook page and it is shown there. Also on their blog, Women Living Well.
Links are already posted here.

“Join us as we go deeper into Acts 6-10 with writings from John Piper, Charles Spurgeon, Lysa TerKeurst, Our Daily Bread and InterVarsity Press.”

A great post on The Right and Wrong Way To Pray.
I believe that anytime you talk to God you are doing everything needed . As longs as you do it with your whole heart, mind, body and soul. Praying is something that can be done every minute of every day, no matter where you are at.
We are told in the Bible how to pray.
Jesus tells us :with the Lord’s Prayer.

” I find it comforting that when the disciples asked Jesus in Luke 11 how to pray, Jesus did not answer with a long winded 10 page discourse.

He answered with the Lord’s Prayer.”

The Right…& Wrong Way to Pray {Matthew 6}

There is a good article on Women Living Well about having a prayer room: A closet.
I wish I had one to go to when Danny has hurt me and I need to escape.
I usually cry first. I also get MAD.  Then I start praying.
I could use a small isolated closet.
I really could have used it last night.

How to Create a Prayer Closet – Your War Room

It’s not as much about the place as it is about the prayer.

Last Wednesday’s Reading:

Acts 8 – Go Near

Verse 29, “The Spirit told Philip, ‘Go to that chariot and stay near it.’”

The hardest time for me to talk to anyone about my faith and what it means to me is to a
PARENT AFTER HIS CHILD DIES.
I never really questioned my FAITH after Bobby DIED. I remained STEADFAST.
Yes, I got angry at God. Yes, I yelled at him for taking Bobby. I knew I could do that. I have a great relationship with God. With Jesus.
I can talk to HIM.
I Will NEVER UNDERSTAND OR ACCEPT THAT IT WAS BEST FOR BOBBY TO BE TAKEN FROM ME.
I AM A MOM , FIRST AND FOREMOST WHEN IT COMES TO BOBBY.

I can be there for a parent and have many times.
I can let them cry and yell. I can listen. I can share my experience with them.
I can pray for them.

I comfort them as another mom who lost a child.

Acts 9 – Never Say Never

Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God. (v.20)

No one could believe that Saul /Paul was a believer!😳When it comes to God’s🙌 work in the most difficult people, we should never say “never.” Keep praying🙏 for your lost loved ones!👊

Acts 10 – Doing Good

“God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” (v. 38)

That is it for this past week.
Next week I’ll be reading Acts 11- 15.
Come and join me.
