Lake Kissimmee’s Hiking Trails And Service Paths Are Underwater -Yet, Some People Go Hiking Anyway.

The following are photos of a simple rescue (no one was hurt) mission that Danny and I were on a few weeks ago. Picking up a couple of hikers and their 2 dogs who decided mid-way through a 6 mile hike that it was too
“Wet” to be hiking.

There was no way to get to them without out going through mud and high water in places.
Running over the floorboards. Coming almost up to the seats of the Polaris. (4 seater.)

This is a main service path and hiking trail.
It is higher out there now. The Photos show up Last to First. You really can’t tell from looking at least how high the water really is in most places. Except for the first few  Pictures, Most of the flooded sections are down farther.
The LAST PHOTOS are the beginning. It was wet almost from the start.

There Are multiple photos of a lone deer near the fence not too far down.

This is coming out f Near the pastures on the right. None of our horses are in view here. Sorry about that.  There is a closeup of a deer not to far down. Midway down there is a photo of the couple and their dogs.

Almost to the main part of the park. You can’t see much of it here but the trail separates where the kiosk is. The beginning. The end. We are coming out from the horse trail and service path.

  1. So much rain for the past several weeks has kept me from hiking some trails in Southwest Florida.

    1. Somehow I missed seeing this. At least the rain is slowing down some here . Happy Friday.
