Let’s Start A Conversation About The Weather – Thursday, October 1, 2015

For Thursday- October

Goodbye Summer Hello Autumn

I am writing this the last week of September for October the first.
I am anxiously awaiting October even though it won’t cool off for another few weeks.
As you know this has been a rough summer for me personally.
For Danny as far as work goes and us as a couple.
None of you knew me before I got sick again
I just started blogging in March. Didn’t really get started until June.
By then summer was here and had been for a couple of months already. We were wearing down from the heat and humidity.
Many of you were just getting past a cold winter.

I want to shout. Fall is here or will be soon. Can’t quite do that yet.
Believe me, when that day comes and it is cool outside for the very first time,
I will shout it all the way to Colorado and beyond.

I also realize that as much as I hate summers in Florida…
As much as I can wait for cold weather and sweaters….
While I dream of Snow and my Colorado mountains…..
there are many of you who dread the forthcoming months
as much as I do springtime.

I would love to hear how you feel about the months ahead.
No matter where you are. In the Northern Hemisphere
Or the Southern Hemisphere…..
I want to have a conversation about the weather.
As boring as it can be, it takes up a lot of our time.

How many of you out there :
Love Fall?

Hate it because it means winter will follow?

Same for spring  and summer.
How do you feel about them?

What are you passionate about during your favorite season?
What makes you want to hibernate during your least favorite?
How do you handle the highs and lows?

You know how and why I feel the way I do.
It’s your turn.
Love Sarah

That picture, with the pumpkin cart, I want to jump up into it, with some hot cider or cocoa, have a fresh fried cinnamon sugar doughnut, in a witch costume. Oh, I adore autumn.

    1. Oh Heather, I will also as soon as it COOLS off (It is cooler than it has been ) and the humidity GOES WAY DOWN. I dearly love it cool and cold out. Sweaters and bonfires and hot drinks and fall colors….Laughing at the witches costume.

      1. Heather says:

I’ll try to send the cooler weather your way. There must be a dance or chant for that lol 🙂

  4. Tracey Rains says:

I am a cold-weather gal! I love the first time I can go outside a see my breath. I live in the hot, humid East Tennessee mountains, and summers are miserable with highs in the upper 90s. Ugh! I love snow and falling leaves and even the new flowers of spring, but summer is not my thing. (That’s rough, too, since I’m a teacher!)

    1. Tracey, We have a lot in common. I taught for years.
I LOVE SNOW and cold…..Not the Damp cold.

      1. Tracey Rains says:

        Snow is so beautiful!

        1. Yes it is. I love playing in it. I love the drifts. I remember all the FORTS and Igloos we use to make.
          All the snowball fights.

          1. Tracey Rains says:

I used to love to make snowmen! The last time we had enough snow to make a snowman, I named him Arthur because he looked like a boy I went to elementary school with! :p

            1. Arthur? Laughing. Not sure why but I am.

            1. I’ll head there shortly. <3

  6. I love all the seasons except Winter. Winter is just too cold and the days are too short here in sunny South Africa. I try to make winters better by hugging my cup of soup, making a fire and look at the beauty of a bare tree. . At the moment we have SPRING – I like this one the best. Flowers, life, new green leaves. 🙂

    1. Nelia, We are opposites. I would love spring here if it didn’t get hot in February. I love new life. Buds. All of it. Just not here.

  7. My My girlfriend-you need a vacay to Colorado to rejuvenate your interest in a State I grew up and still reside in. I love Florida and my ocean and would never want to live anywhere else! Cheryl

    1. Cheryl, I would never want to come back here. But cooler weather is coming and it is beautiful while it lasts. I do love this area. Love the water.
      Hugs my friend. xxxxx
