Women Living Well- Making Your Home A Haven- Fall Challenge For the Month Of October

“Each week I will give you one practical tip and one spiritual tip that you can do to create a haven in your home.”
“I’ll be using the hashtag
#MakingYourHomeAHaven on Instagram.  “
This Starts On October 7 |But I plan to Start this Wednesday October 1 (Sarah)
‘Week 1: October 7th -Go buy an extra large candle and light a candle everyday in your home.

I will be starting mine in the morning but you can start yours at dinner time or whenever is convenient for you. I will be placing mine in the kitchen – the main hub of my home. Each time the candle catches your eye, say a prayer for peace in your home.

Live out the fruit of the Spirit of peace and patience this week.”

Will you take the challenge?

“There’s simply no place like home.  Whether you have a one-bedroom apartment or a large farmhouse, home is where we rest, refuel, and build strong relationships with our loved ones.  No two homes are alike.  Home is a place where we express our individuality in the kitchen and on the walls.  Whether you are a full-time homemaker or work full-time outside the home, we all have in common the desire to make our homes a haven.  Together let’s pursue peace and harmony.” ~ excerpt from the book, Women Living Well

Jesus said in John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled.”

Are you in?  If you are – it’s time to prepare for the first challenge by going out and purchasing a large candle.

What’s the scent of your candle? Mine is Yankee Candle’s Salted Caramel…I just finished one jar this week and am starting the next one today!

    1. D.
I laughed at the closet part. I just redid part of ours. Redid is not the right word.
Lets just say I have a huge Laundry basket piled high with clothes that I won’t or can’t wear any more and shorts and things of Danny’s he doesn’t wear.
I need to take them to the Community Church BEFORE I load them up with the trash. Or just leave them where they are.
We don’t have a door on the clothes. GRRRRRRRRRRRR.
All Danny has to do is go and get one. We live in a state house.
He got the OK from our Assistant Manager 4 years ago.
      Has he done it. Nope.
The whole challenge is easy. I like that part of it.
Have you seen the Pay It Forward Posts. Last Friday’s has a lot of good things to do. Some really simple. Some not so. Week 2 comes out soon. Friday the 9TH.
      I wrote all of it.
      I am mainly working on
Saying or showing Danny that I love him.
It use to be easy for me, Then I got tired of never hear the words back.
Now I have trouble saying them without anger.
I am very much a work in progress.
      HUGS Sarah
