Making Your Home A Haven

Who We Are At Home Is Who We Really Are

I will post what Danny and I are doing ASAP.
It has been interesting.

Who We Are At Home Is Who We Really Are By Women Living Well And Good Morning Girls.

Colossians 3-12 clothe yourselves
This is the same Bible Verse that I did  for my morning Bible Verse and Study.

“This Week’s Challenge

Keep the candle burning, the music playing and plan a Family Fun Night.

Have a pillow party in the family room and get out every blanket and pillow in the house and be cozy with the kids or your hubby! Even if you live alone you can do this. Enjoy a cozy evening of hot cider and caramel corn. Bust out some old fashioned games and take the time to savor these moments with your loved ones.

Let’s live out the fruit of the Spirit of kindness and joy in our homes this week.”

How is the Making Your Home a Haven Challenge going in your house?  Do you have your candle and music going?

What is your favorite thing to do for fun with your family?

What is your favorite board game to play with your family?

    Candles everywhere 🙂

    1. I’d have them going all the time if I had more candles. I love them.

My mother doesn’t burn candles because of the “soot”. She gets the light warmers that melt wax tartlets. Still pretty and smelly 🙂

        1. I love those as well.
For some reason the smoke from candles never bother me. Now any other kind of smoke and I’d be gasping. I can candle a smoke from a fire MOST of the time. It’s weird
that I can with my asthma.

  2. It is so nice to make your home lovely and special!

    1. Most people don’t seem to realize that it is the simple things that make it special. The smells. The lightning. The mood.

I love to decoreate the house for the different seasons and events. And candles are everywhere. I love to make my home a nest 🙂

    1. I knew you would.
My home in Colorado was a Nesting Place. I had rooms for the daycare….The kitchen and family room for us…..Us meaning Bobby when he was home…Me when he wasn’t.
Or friends. I had a few good friends who would visit.
The kitchen was the heart of our home. There was an enclosed porch off the kitchen and a porch off of it.
Candles were everywhere as well. Small lamps.
Upstairs were the bedrooms. Private area from the daycare.
4 bedrooms. Mine. One for Bob when he was around. .A study. And a guest bedroom. There was also a sitting area between the first section of steps and the last. There was a window seat with bookcases and 2 comfy chairs. I loved it there.
2 fireplaces. One in the family one. One in the my bedroom.
      4 bathrooms. 2 full and 2 half
It was a home to live in and be happy.
There was a basement as well.
      I miss it.
