Lake Kissimmee State Park: Buster Island Paddling Trail
Lake Kissimmee is remote and unspoiled, offering endless reflecting waters, stunning stars in dark skies, and excellent fishing. Paddlers encircle Buster Island, a hiker and equestrian’s delight with miles of trails winding between moss-draped live oak. The paddling loop meanders through the Zipperer Canal, Lake Rosalie, Rosalie Creek, Tiger Lake, Tiger Creek, and Lake Kissimmee before returning to the boat marina. An outfitter at the marina offers boat rentals, fishing advice and Segway Tours.
Danny and I couldn’t be more delighted with this:
It is OFFICIAL:
Lake Kissimmee State Park has another TRAIL……One that we have needed for YEARS.
It has always been there but now it is part of a huge TRAIL SYSTEM and must be maintained As much as possible.
I will post PHOTOS of the 2 different trips that Danny and I have been on around this 11 mile PADDLING TRAIL.
Needless to say, I am delighted.
How did I finally here about this?
My hubby, who is OFF, EMAILED it to me.
He had just gotten word that it was online and ready to go.
Danny’s HUGE Project from 5 years ago. The Kayak Launch and Handicap Seat. Ramp, Gangway. Boardwalk.
