Quieting Your Hearts Bible Study- Learning To Love

From Sarah:
For Advent I posted and shared Darlene’s Quieting Your Heart For The Holidays. It was amazing.
I am excited to be starting another Quieting Your Heart Series.
It goes along with Making Your Home A Haven that Women Living Well Does. (This is MY OPINION). They are 2 separate series by 2 separate blogs.
Courtney posted from Women Living Well about this series a couple of weeks ago.

4 Weeks - 4 Loves - 1 Awesome Bible Study

It’s officially Started:
Time Warp Wife: Quieting Your Heart Learning To Love Bible Study.
I tried to post it Sunday Night but couldn’t.

Our Bible study on the four loves begins today and runs throughout the month of February. We’ll be talking about the four Greek words for love, discussing one each week:

Storge natural affection, most often between family members such as the affection between parents and children

Philia brotherly love, friendship

Eros a romantic, passionate love

Agape God’s love toward man and our reflection of this love

If you’d like to jump in on this Bible study, you can go here to get the free study guide and all of the information you’ll need to get started.

This week we start with a focus on Storge, which is defined as natural affection. It’s the love you see between family members, and can also be found between friends that you love as though they were your own family.

Storge is also used to describe the affection that animals have for their young and puppies have for their owners. Mama bears naturally protect, and dogs are affectionate to their pups.

From Darlene:
“Before I get into this, I have to say that this is MY FAVOURITE Bible study to date! I absolutely love it and I think you will too! If you have a group of friends that might be interested in this study, maybe you can call them up and get together once or twice/week. The study guide is free and I’ll provide more printable resources each week! It’s also a great study to do with your husband. The interior of the study guide isn’t too girly, and the content is awesome!”

THE STUDY – February 1-27th

“Learning to Love” will run for four consecutive weeks (February 1 – 27). I’ll be posting here on the blog, Mondays and Fridays. Each week we’ll study a different kind of love:

  • Storge natural affection, most often between family members such as the affection between parents and children
  • Philia brotherly love, friendship
  • Eros a romantic, passionate love
  • Agape God’s love toward man and our reflection of this love

As we go through this study, we’ll examine each love individually. We’ll look at stories in the Bible to see where love was evident in a person’s life, and where it may have been misused.

    2. Thanks Jason,
I have been trying to “Quiet my heart and head” for awhile now. It started with Making Your Home A Haven Series that I have seen for the past year.
It’s working for Me and for Us, although Danny has No Clue what I am doing.
He ignore all mention of my Bible Studies and anything to do with the blog.
It’s been good for me personally.
      Hugs my Colorado friend.
