Making My Home A Haven is important to me. Sharing homemaking skills. Recipes and food. Bible Studies. This is a treasure chest of goodies. So take a seat. Have a glass of tea and enjoy. You will learn all about who I am.
A quality that is seriously lacking in our culture. When we are not thankful for what we have, we tend to grow greedy and selfish.
There seems to be a link between peace and being thankful. Ungratefulness breeds discontent, which brings chaos and upheaval to the heart and soul.
Who can you express genuine gratitude to today? The restaurant server who might be having a rough day (because of ungrateful patrons???). Your spouse – even if they don’t ‘deserve’ it (hmmm…another topic for another day). Your kids?
Sometimes…many times…we need to actually work to find the things we can choose to be thankful for.
My real name is Debra (Debbie Sue). Sarah is a nickname given to me in high school. My husband has always called me that so here in Florida It's all I am known by. I was born and raised in Illinois. My son and I moved to Colorado in 1982. I taught school for 17 years. Then I ran a homeschooling/preschool/daycare until 2006 when I moved to Florida after my son, Bobby died suddenly. He was almost 26. Danny and I live and work at a state park here. I miss the mountains and climate of Colorado. I miss snow and the four seasons. I miss Bobby.
