Cooking Colorado Style :
Soups And Chili’s

Recipe Roundup :

Soups And Chili.

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! With Thanksgiving, it would be absurd for me to suggest meals for the week, so why not prepare a big bowl of soup today. That way you’ll have leftovers and you won’t have to cook while you shop, make pies and polish that silver. Here are some soupy suggestions.

We had our first snow and hard freeze here in Denver a couple of days ago. We always celebrate this event with a big bowl of chili. How about my award winning version

And speaking of award winning, this white chili won a state contest in Michigan. Hearty and full of flavor, you may want to try this White Bean and Chicken Chili.

And yet another blue ribbon choice might be this Denver Award Winning Chipotle Bison Chili with Lime Crema. Delicious!

Looking for a lighter brothy-er soup to keep that waist line under control? How about Julia Child’s Ginger Lemon Chicken Soup.  Or a creamier version with this Basil Lemon Chicken Soup.  Keep these two soups in your back pocket if you get tired of leftover Turkey Sandwiches.

Looking to go meatless for a few days? Try this Butternut Squash Soup with Apple. Perfect Fall soup.

Or need a recipe for the easiest soup EVER? Take a look at this Taco Soup Recipe, where all you need is a can opener and big pot.  With that said,

Happy Thanksgiving! May your turkey be stuffed with love, laughter and joy.

Let us cherish family and friends this Thanksgiving week.
