Today was ONE OF THOSE Mondays……
We had the weekend off. It was good but way too short.
Danny Didn’t want to go to work.
I woke up not feeling all that great. I overdid it Sunday. Not sorry. We had a good day.
Today’s been hard.
The following was from Kaylene’s email.
Copied and Pasted
Happy Monday, my friend!
I have been determined to make it a “rejoice & be glad in it” kind of day.
But ya’ll I’m strugglin’ over here! I could blame my down spirited-ness on a bunch of things – the kids woke up at 5am, the workout was tedious, the snow made the roads yucky, someone tracked doggy do-do in the house, my coffee got cold three times, the hubby was distant, the bank got crabby… blah, blah, blah…
But, really. It’s a day the Lord has made and it’s the best Monday of the whole week, so I’m brewing another pot of coffee and settling in for a wonderful rest of the day!
This morning’s events, however, reminded me that some days are just not the easiest. You know… Those days that hold the anniversaries of painful times in our lives. The times you wish you didn’t have to remember so vividly? Those times you aren’t sure will ever turn around and show themselves beneficial to your growth or faith?
It’s one of those days. I’ve cried a few tears, got a little angry, wished it wasn’t so, forgave it all again.
And I’m trying to move on… and heal… slowly and completely….
Turn this day from a self-reliant one to a God-reliant one!
Love much & Pray big!
Monday Freebie – My friend Alison Tiemeyer shared a post on the blog the other day that speaks of resiliance and reliance. She also offered us a free six day Bible study on trusting God. You can find it all right here.
P.S. Important! (& hopefully exciting!) In 2017 we plan to share a few topical word studies using the R.E.S.T Bible Study Method. Those of you who have participated in this method have shared so much great feedback for it. Thank you!
Today, the words you send back to me – the ones you would put in the blank above – will be used to evaluate which word studies would be most beneficial to this community. I have a few guesses, but would love to hear from you first!
Blessings to your week!
