Making My Home A Haven is important to me. Sharing homemaking skills. Recipes and food. Bible Studies. This is a treasure chest of goodies. So take a seat. Have a glass of tea and enjoy. You will learn all about who I am.
I write about this beef stew in my memoir, All the Pretty Things. I had just given up my practice as a family doctor and I was trying to figure out what people do when they stay home. So I taught myself to cook. When I was first trying to figure out how to regularly put dinner on the table, I watched the Food Network like it was MY JOB. This was back in the day when food tv was new and it felt like I had my own personal tutor in the kitchen. I decided I was going to find a way to make the perfect pot of beef stew. When Stevie tasted the first bite, he looked at me with that certain twinkle in his eyes. This is the dish that made me a wife. You’re welcome! I also have a free ebook on my favorite soups, which you can download here!
