Start each day with a grateful heart. One of the key secrets to happiness. Every morning and every night I have the practice of being thankful for all the blessings and gifts I have I my life. From my mental, physical and spiritual health, to my family, friends and boyfriend. To my skills and talents, the safe and clean country I live in, the education I have, the great meals I get to enjoy and I could go on and on. In fact, I sometimes do to the point where I fall asleep while reciting all that I am thankful for.

That shows you the sense of peace and happiness you can feel when focusing on gratitude. So imagine starting your day by centering your thoughts for only a minute or two on all that you are lucky to have.

It’s such a great reminder of the rich life that we live and it also puts dramas and problems into perspective.

Why not give it a try today either this morning or this evening when you go to bed? See how your body feels while you are taking in all that you are grateful for. For me, I instantly feel the tensions melt away. The shoulders relax, the jaw releases and my whole body softens.
