Making a St. Patrick’s Day “Lucky Pot of Gold”

Making a St. Patrick’s Day “Lucky Pot of Gold”

March 17 is quickly approaching, so were spending the week celebrating St. Patricks Day and our Irish heritage.  And while I dont plan to buy gifts for the kids on this particular holiday, I did think that it would be nice for them to wake up to a little surprise on St. Patricks Day morning.  Im sure there will be some green milk or some Lucky Charms cereal on the breakfast table, but these Lucky Pots of Gold will also be waiting for them!

Heres my plan: the boys will leave their empty pots out on the table the evening before St. Patricks Day.  If theyre lucky, a leprechaun will visit during the night and fill their pots with gold (or, in this case, Lindor White Chocolate truffles, which my boys love).

My real name is Debra (Debbie Sue). Sarah is a nickname given to me in high school. My husband has always called me that so here in Florida It's all I am known by. I was born and raised in Illinois. My son and I moved to Colorado in 1982. I taught school for 17 years. Then I ran a homeschooling/preschool/daycare until 2006 when I moved to Florida after my son, Bobby died suddenly. He was almost 26. Danny and I live and work at a state park here. I miss the mountains and climate of Colorado. I miss snow and the four seasons. I miss Bobby.

Please Comment. I don't care how long or how short. I want to hear from you.
