Lake Kissimmee State Park : 11 Mile Buster Island Paddling Trail OPENED November 14, 2015

From Sarah:
It was the RESULT of 3 long years for Danny and I.
Written November ’15

Lake Kissimmee is remote and unspoiled, offering endless reflecting waters, stunning stars in dark skies, and excellent fishing. Paddlers encircle Buster Island, a hiker and equestrian’s delight with miles of trails winding between moss-draped live oak. The paddling loop meanders through the Zipprer Canal, Lake Rosalie, Rosalie Creek, Tiger Lake, Tiger Creek, and Lake Kissimmee before returning to the boat marina. An outfitter at the marina offers boat rentals, fishing advice and Segway Tours.

Danny and I couldn’t be more delighted with this:
It is OFFICIAL:
Lake Kissimmee State Park has another TRAIL……One that we have needed for YEARS.
It has always been there but now it is part of a huge TRAIL SYSTEM and must be maintained As much as possible.
I will post PHOTOS of the 2 different trips that Danny and I have been on around this 11 mile PADDLING TRAIL.
Needless to say, I am delighted.
How did I finally here about this?
My hubby, who is OFF, EMAILED it to me.
He had just gotten word that it was online and ready to go.

My real name is Debra (Debbie Sue). Sarah is a nickname given to me in high school. My husband has always called me that so here in Florida It's all I am known by. I was born and raised in Illinois. My son and I moved to Colorado in 1982. I taught school for 17 years. Then I ran a homeschooling/preschool/daycare until 2006 when I moved to Florida after my son, Bobby died suddenly. He was almost 26. Danny and I live and work at a state park here. I miss the mountains and climate of Colorado. I miss snow and the four seasons. I miss Bobby.

Please Comment. I don't care how long or how short. I want to hear from you.
