(In) Courage : by Sarah Mae
It takes time and practice to grow into mothering with wisdom and maturity and grace and gentleness. But the more we practice, the more we keep on, step by step, slow and steady, learning, doing, listening to older moms, staying before the Lord and relying on His Holy Spirit, the better we will get!
Always had a problem with that “God is testing me” and this is a “growth experience” mantra. I think it’s B_ _ _ S _ _ _ . That Job story has screwed up people’s thinking for centuries. Who needs a testing God ? Do we really thing the Creator needs signs of loyalty from us ? It is Satan that tests us every moment and God should be our fortifier not the tester. Yes I understand the growth opportunity stuff but sometimes I think it’s deluding ourselves but I must concede the fact remains we adjust, grow and live or give up and die. My dad never tested me. He was always there for me. I’d would expect our Father in heaven would be a good dad too.
Somehow I missed seeing this Carl,. You were fortunate to have a wonderful dad who was there to lead you.
