Making My Home A Haven is important to me. Sharing homemaking skills. Recipes and food. Bible Studies. This is a treasure chest of goodies. So take a seat. Have a glass of tea and enjoy. You will learn all about who I am.
I am thankful that the deer have been around every day. This photo was taken last week. We had 6 deer in the yard Friday and 5 yesterday.
I am especially grateful that the electric came back on for the well late last night. Not sure why it was out and not the house. Not complaining. This gal needs her AC more than she does running water. One thing we have plenty of is jugs full of water. Plus, Danny’s fire truck has all the water we need as well.
It was wonderful to take my hot bath.
Yet, It’s the “Little Things” in our lives that make us happiest.
My real name is Debra (Debbie Sue). Sarah is a nickname given to me in high school. My husband has always called me that so here in Florida It's all I am known by. I was born and raised in Illinois. My son and I moved to Colorado in 1982. I taught school for 17 years. Then I ran a homeschooling/preschool/daycare until 2006 when I moved to Florida after my son, Bobby died suddenly. He was almost 26. Danny and I live and work at a state park here. I miss the mountains and climate of Colorado. I miss snow and the four seasons. I miss Bobby.
