Making My Home A Haven is important to me. Sharing homemaking skills. Recipes and food. Bible Studies. This is a treasure chest of goodies. So take a seat. Have a glass of tea and enjoy. You will learn all about who I am.
I choose my word for the year by looking back over the previous year and recalling the ways God was at work in my life. I think about the blessings and the trials of the year, and I review the passages of Scripture that were most precious to me during those times.
As I mentioned in my post about the greatest blessing of last year (and the decade), I have been so impacted by the fact that the people God used were full of the knowledge of God and of His Word. I thought about continuing my word from last year – communicate – which focused on that same idea of communicating God’s Words and not my own opinion.
My real name is Debra (Debbie Sue). Sarah is a nickname given to me in high school. My husband has always called me that so here in Florida It's all I am known by. I was born and raised in Illinois. My son and I moved to Colorado in 1982. I taught school for 17 years. Then I ran a homeschooling/preschool/daycare until 2006 when I moved to Florida after my son, Bobby died suddenly. He was almost 26. Danny and I live and work at a state park here. I miss the mountains and climate of Colorado. I miss snow and the four seasons. I miss Bobby.
