A new bill introduced by Republican Sen. Martha McSally of Arizona is seeking to give $4,000 each to taxpayers so they can take a vacation anywhere in the U.S. at least 50 miles from their primary residence to boost the tourism and hospitality industries that have been hard-hit by the coronavirus pandemic.

At first I laughed. Then I got upset.
Danny and I had planned a once in a lifetime Cross Country Amtrak Vacation. 7 weeks: April, May and June.
So yes, WE WANT AND NEED a vacation.
I have also spent a good part of our trip money stocking up on supplies and getting through Lockdown.
Mixed Feelings.
My real name is Debra (Debbie Sue). Sarah is a nickname given to me in high school. My husband has always called me that so here in Florida It's all I am known by. I was born and raised in Illinois. My son and I moved to Colorado in 1982. I taught school for 17 years. Then I ran a homeschooling/preschool/daycare until 2006 when I moved to Florida after my son, Bobby died suddenly. He was almost 26. Danny and I live and work at a state park here. I miss the mountains and climate of Colorado. I miss snow and the four seasons. I miss Bobby.
