Making My Home A Haven is important to me. Sharing homemaking skills. Recipes and food. Bible Studies. This is a treasure chest of goodies. So take a seat. Have a glass of tea and enjoy. You will learn all about who I am.
We purchased our first color television in 1972 and from that time forward became faithful watchers of the Rose Parade held each year in Pasadena, California on New Year’s Day. Seeing the actual parade live soon became a bucket list item. But taking a trip from one coast to the other just for a parade […]
My real name is Debra (Debbie Sue). Sarah is a nickname given to me in high school. My husband has always called me that so here in Florida It's all I am known by. I was born and raised in Illinois. My son and I moved to Colorado in 1982. I taught school for 17 years. Then I ran a homeschooling/preschool/daycare until 2006 when I moved to Florida after my son, Bobby died suddenly. He was almost 26. Danny and I live and work at a state park here. I miss the mountains and climate of Colorado. I miss snow and the four seasons. I miss Bobby.

I grew up in Pasadena, and lived there for most of my life. I worked on the floats for many years. You just brought back many happy memories. Thank you.
I continue to have mood swings. I work hard to control them.
Danny is frustrated with work and just about everything these days. I always feel like he is yelling at me when he starts venting. He can’t do it quietly.
I tend to vent if he goes on too long. I am talking hours. Not minutes.
Saturday nights are usually bad. He always posts a train video late at night. (As in Early Sunday Morning). By the time he is starting the process, All I want is QUIET.
Yet, something usually happens. Our internet is SLOW. Sometimes the video won’t upload. So he gets frustrated. Gets louder. Cusses.
I get mad after a while.
This weekend, everything went well.

WOW. I worked on a small float for a very small parade in high school. I can’t imagine working on anything bigger.
It’s pretty cool to be a part of something that big and it’s a tradition.
I bet it is. Have a great night.
Thank you. You as well. 🙂
We did. It was a quiet one.
Sometimes quiet is good. 🙂
Anymore, If we have a quiet night, all is good.
Hang in there.
