Making My Home A Haven is important to me. Sharing homemaking skills. Recipes and food. Bible Studies. This is a treasure chest of goodies. So take a seat. Have a glass of tea and enjoy. You will learn all about who I am.
Hello lovelies! It feels like forever since I’ve sat down and had a chat with you all! Tell me, how are you really? What are your, albeit tentative, plans for the Christmas season? My family and I usually host or attend a lunch/dinner party and then just soak up the festive season with music and…
My real name is Debra (Debbie Sue). Sarah is a nickname given to me in high school. My husband has always called me that so here in Florida It's all I am known by. I was born and raised in Illinois. My son and I moved to Colorado in 1982. I taught school for 17 years. Then I ran a homeschooling/preschool/daycare until 2006 when I moved to Florida after my son, Bobby died suddenly. He was almost 26. Danny and I live and work at a state park here. I miss the mountains and climate of Colorado. I miss snow and the four seasons. I miss Bobby.

I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your repost- it helps me immensely! Thank you for your kindness Sarah. A while ago I read your about page and was so moved by the life story you shared. It was an honour to see through your eye’s for a brief while. The highs and lows throughout the years saw you become a strong, compassionate woman who has shown great fortitude. I hope to grow up and be as you are. The pictures you shared are such precious snapshots of time gone by. It all feels like yesterday I can imagine! It’s almost like I blink and a new day is coming. However, there is lots of good ahead of you- that I’m sure of. I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your son Bobby. I’m sure he is very proud of his mom though- how could he not be?
I am so sorry I didn’t see this comment until now. Yet, I am really glad I didn’t. ONLY, because Wednesday, May 19, was Bobby’s 15th year in Heaven. I really needed it now.
So THANK YOU from the bottom, of my heart. This means everything to me.
