From Sarah :
This hit home. As much as I want to blame Danny for my moods and reactions to things he says and does, it is still m responsibility to handle it. I pray all the time for guidance. I wish I listened as much as I pray.
Lord help me.
Club 31 Women: How To Have A Good Fight With Your Husband.
I really enjoyed this post. I get upset like she does almost every day. Usually over something trivial and unimportant.
Usually at Danny or one of the quys at work. Work meaning “The Park ” and it’s something said over the radio that I don’t like or agree with.
Little things. Unimportant things .
They set me off.
I am not the easy going person I once was.
I am learning to hide much of what I feel. Or at least I don’t say the words UNTIL Danny is out the door.
Then I say or yell what I want to say. Childish but at least Danny didn’t hear me say those words.
Is there really a good way to fight with your hubby? We would ALL LIKE NOT TO HAVE ANY FIGHTS WITH THEM. EVER.
That just isn’t going to happen.
So you learn how to fight cleaner.
How not to be as harsh.
And you keep trying to Hold in those Small but Deadly Temper Tantrums.
October seems to be a good month for events and projects . Everyone is still in back to school and end of the summer mode.
What is going on in your neck of the woods?
Oh how I wish I was mobile and able to help at the park this week. They are getting ready for a huge wedding and reception Friday Afternoon and Evening. After Hours. EVERYONE at Lake Kissimmee State Park is getting it ready. Even our biologist has been working hard to help out since we are seriously shorthanded.
Both of our managers are down in Day Use Area /Marina cleaning picnic tables. I heard our manager say he was on top of the large pavilion.
I normally would be right there helping.
Not on top of the roof though. I don’t get paid enough for that. LOL
Are you ready for October?
I wrote most of the post below here over the weekend and on Monday. I am getting ready for October 1.
Here are just a few of the many events going on in Bloggerland. If you have an event or know of one I would love to share it here all month long.
One of my favorite books of the Bible is Proverbs. I studied it with Good Morning Girls/Women Living Well a couple of months ago. I missed a lot due to hospital stays so I thought I would re-read this wonderful book this month.
I will be posting from their blog and Facebook page the lessons they shared with us.
Time Warp Wife is starting her class in Proverbs this month
I am looking forward to it.
I’m an Evangelical Christian whose number one priority is to serve Jesus Christ in every area of my life. My husband Michael and I live in Manitoba Canada. Married 25 years, we have four children (three still at home), a bird and two pugs who are everyone’s babies, especially mine! Our lives are basically surrounded with three things: our faith, music and everything books. I’m an award winning and New York Times best-selling author who is nothing without the grace of God. Danny has finally starting cutting down on some of his
“Extra” Treats that cost more than we can spend.
I cut back a long time ago.
This has made it possible for us to
SPLURGE on that one ITEM we each want.
His is his WINE. We buy the $10.00 JUG instead of a more expensive brand.
I seldom even have a sip any more and I miss my glass of wine at night.
Wine makes my hot flashes worse.
I drink Chai Lattes in the fall and winter months.
So far it hasn’t cooler off enough for them. On with the OCTOBER CHALLENGE.
31 Days of Living Well and Spending Zero: Freeze Your Spending. Change Your Life.Paperback– August 27, 2015
Living Well, Spending Less: 12 Secrets of the Good LifePaperback– December 30, 2014
I am going to do all I can to follow plan all month long.
One thing I won’t do is not take out my $40.00 for Christmas Gifts.
This is something I do all year long. I take it out of MY money to spend.
This money is for Christmas, New Years, and both of our birthdays.
The last 2 years I had to use it on for BILLS.
But at least I had it saved up.
There are 2 Main Events listed here and other smaller ones that you may also do.
If the Living Well Spend Zero is not possible…..This month. Sign up and do it next month or after the New Year.
Start working on Ruth’s Living Well and Spending Less or her “12 Secrets Of The Good Life.”
She really is awesome. She emails back and is just a good friend to have.
Thursday, October 1, 2015…. I worked hard to find events and projects to do in October. I had them started and waiting to add the rest of the information when it came… I had PLANNED ON GETTING EVERYTHING EARLY WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 30. Well as you know, plans don’t always work out the way you want them to. As usual, for me, I got laid up in bed for most of the last 4 days.
So you are getting them a day or 2 late. Sorry about that.
I am feeling a bit better.
Weak as a newborn kitty. LOL Are newborn kitty’s weak?
Happy October First.
