Welcome To Sarah's Attic Of Treasures. This is a special place where I share what is important to me. What I hope will bring a smile to your face. I am a Child Of God. A Wife. I am Also an Angel Mom. I share what makes me happy. Things I need to do. I share Christian Blogs and Bible Studies constantly. Making My Home A Haven is important to me. So I will have a number of posts about housewives and homemaking. Recipes and food. Gardening. This is a treasure chest of goodies. So take a seat. Have a glass of tea and enjoy. You will learn all about who I am and Our Neck Of The Woods.
Oh does this recipe look spectacular. Check out the homemade pie crust. The only thing I would add is corn. I love corn in pot pies. Comfort food at it’s best.
Lynz is a new -to- me blog that has become a favorite already.
Down home cooking.
I have learned a lot about cooking in Saudi Arabia and other places . Different cultures. Different ways of cooking.
Wonderful photos showing how to make the dish. Please check it out.
This Is the first of a series of photos and stories of our life on Rolling Meadows Ranch….
A story of our love for each other and the park service .
I will also be updating this post for awhile yet.
Rolling Meadows Ranch is just a small part of what I refer to as Our Neck Of The Woods. Danny and I have shared a lifetime of memories in the 7 years we have lived on Rolling Meadows Ranch. We went from living in our RV full time to restoring the old Cracker House to finally living in it.
This is Rolling Meadows Ranch we fell in love with even before we moved there from Lake Kissimmee State Park .
Please join me as I take us on a photo tour of the early days on Rolling Meadows Ranch,
No seat belts required. You may get a mite dusty.
Rolling Meadows Ranch was a working sod farm when the state first bought the property back in the early 2000’s . The sod farm continued to work it until January 1 , 2009. Danny and I moved to Rolling Meadows in December 2008.
We lived in our RV on the other side of the road from where the house is. Right next to the old mobile home.
Before we ever moved over there Danny and I would drive ALL OVER the property. Miles and Miles of criss crossing paths . You could drive for hours and we did.
Tell me what exciting things or what boring things you are doing today, Because I am about to tell you all of mine.
Seriously, I would love to hear what your day/ weekend is like.
I missed going to church again.
Hugs from Sarah
Good afternoon from Florida. It is 2:06 PM and I have been up for 2 hours. Yes, that means I didn’t get up til NOON.
Today was one of those day when a simple shower was a challenge to take and I still have had the energy to get up and hang my towel up….My hair hasn’t been combed.
I went to bed last night at 1AM. I would have gone to bed earlier but Danny and I were watching a good movie TOGETHER in the living roo. It’s been so long since that had happened that I wasn’t going to spoil it and say:” Honey, Not tonight. I’m going to bed.”
We watched American Sniper.
Chris Kyle served 4 terms overseas.
Danny and I have watched many interview related to this movie before last night.
I really enjoyed watching the movie, Although I had to close my eyes during some of it.
It would have been nice to have shared a few minutes of conversation about the movie .
Instead Danny wanted me to watch a video of an interview with Chris Kyle on his computer……Not in the living room where I can be comfortable. The interview was almost an hour long. We had watched it before.
It was already 1 AM.
I SAID no. I really didn’t want to watch it “TONIGHT’.
Danny said “Ok” and off he went.
I have been trying to get him to watch a movie with me for months. We use to do it almost nightly. I told him that was too often and he got upset. So no more movies in the LR. I have watched a few in his computer room on the laptop. We watched lot’s of “Sarah, come and look at this…..You gotta come now”…..interviews and news events and whatever he is watching at the time… STUFF.
BACK TO THIS MORNING/AFTERNOON
The cat made a mess with the hay. All over the floor.
Would it KILL Danny to take the BROOM and at least move it out of my way when I walked into the kitchen to make HIS Breakfast?
I get a little irritated when I don’t even get a Thank you for fixing Danny’s breakfast for him …..Even when he knows I am not eating as well.
I am trying to sort through about 300 messages on one of my email accounts. I am 3 days behind with a lot of them. I had already sorted out about that many and put away to read later.
Later…will never come….I may read a few.
I can’t keep up….No one can.
I have another email account : more blogs and pages I read from Facebook…..
I have over a thousand messages there. I haven’t been there in days…
I need to do the dishes. I still need to put away the dishes from the last time I did them.
Sadly, I don’t get a chance to visit Facebook much. Forget Twitter….or any of the other media places.
ON A GOOD NOTE:
My mind is clearing up a bit so I can think better.
I have all of you to keep me company.
AND IT’S NOT RAINING. YET.
