My Road Trip To Illinois My trip actually began around 10 PM. I was amazed how relaxed I was tonight. All day, in fact. I had the house picked up. Vacuumed. Laundry : Washed, Dried And put away. Dishes washed and put away. I was packed by midafternoon. I amazed myself and actually got unpacked…
This Past Week In Our Neck Of The Woods Railfanning in Mulberry And Bradley Junction, Florida It was an interesting week filled with highs and extreme lows. I knew before we left that it PROBABLY would NOT be a good idea to STAY IN A MOTEL instead of an AirBNB. We needed more SPACE. I…

Danny was wonderful for most of my birthday. As I mentioned in Part 1, I woke up on Wednesday in a bad mood. It didn’t help that it was gloomy outside. Dark And Cloudy. Humid. I had trouble shaking off “The MOOD”. I knew a lot of it was because I was missing my dad….

From Sarah :
I am starting this wonderful study today. I wasn’t prepared for it when Advent started last week. I could blame it on the fact we were in Plant City until Tuesday of the first week. I had plenty of time to get ready for it here. I could have shared the first week on time but I chose family (In my case , Danny) and held off. Lighting Advent candles at a B & B could have been done. We had the whole house to ourselves. I still chose not to. I wasn’t ready (in my heart ) to begin.
My HEART WASN’T QUIET.
MY HEART hasn’t been QUIET in a very long time.
I was praying that our mini- vacation would bring us closer and in a way it did. Yet, NOT IN THE WAYS I NEEDED IT TO.
Danny And I were in Plant City for 4 days and 3 nights. We left our house around 10:30 AM Saturday Morning, November 30th. If it would have been up to me, we would have left the night before. LOL, Probably not though.The traffic would have been a lot worse than it was Saturday morning….
From Sarah : All things must end sometime. I have most of our things packed and ready to take out to the car. We had breakfast at 8 AM. Photos haven’t uploaded to Google yet so I will share them later. We are back in our room relaxing. For once, even Danny isn’t ready to…
These were taken Saturday evening. Danny and I left our house around 10: 30 AM. Got gas and a few groceries and were on our way. It’s a fairly short drive. Lot’s of traffic for us country bumpkins. I Am VERY THANKFUL that we were able to get- a -way this weekend. Needing prayers though….
Excuse me for the really bad photos but it was the easiest way to post them. We have had a WEEK of Gloomy Weather. Dark And Dreary Weather. Damp. This is Florida. We aren’t use to not having SUNSHINE most of the day. Every day. Danny is home so the diffusers aren’t running as much….
The last few years, Florida has had much hotter weather. Winter never came. In January, we saw 90 degree temperatures. We were still While I am thriving, Danny is freezing . Of Course he has been cold all summer when it was in the 80’s here. The AC has only been off one day. Today…

3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

It Is Often The Small Stuff That Make The Big Memories
How is the Pay It Forward Challenge Going?
Have you put your cell phones away when you are in the company of others?
Image result for Cell Phones At the table PhotosHow is this family time? They asked and answered a question but neither stopped what they were doing.
This is NOT good family time.
Why go out and eat if you are going to talk /text on the phone while you are there?
You are missing a great opportunity to simply have fun.
So the MONTH’S ONGOING CHALLENGE CONTINUES:
To work on NOT having the cell phone on
and at the table during meal times.
If it must be on, put it on a counter AWAY from the table.
This Weeks NEW Challenge Is TWO – FOLD.
1. Eat your meals together.
If not all of them, then at least one meal a day.
2. To Say Grace at least at one meal a day.
Say it together. Say it silently. Say it.
Teach your kids to thank God/ Jesus for the blessings you receive.
Thank you for the food we are about to eat. ……
Do I say prayers at meal times?
Honestly, Not as much as I should.
If I eat in the kitchen, yes I do.
Danny and I seldom eat together any more.
I usually don’t eat breakfast so Danny eats his in the computer room.
Do we eat lunch together….It depends on if he is already on the computer. Usually he is.
Danny will eat dinner/supper at the table . I usually sit with him. He will eat RIGHT before going to bed. Midnight and later
Our family always ate together. So did Bobby and I. Always.
Come Lord Jesus,
Be Our Guest.
You can eat your meal anywhere as long as you eat together.
I am tooting my OWN HORN HERE. I ROCKED TODAY. Danny and I Rocked. Lake Kissimmee State Park Rocked. YIPPEE. The Dedication Ceremony Is OVER. The Blueway Trails System has a NEW Paddle Trail. Danny and I can get a lot accomplished when we work together. It started with a DREAM of MINE…Danny liked it….

It was just something we automatically did. No one really thought about it. Families ate together. They laughed and talked. Friends were invited. We never knew what we…
