Day 1 

I grew up in one of those traditional southern towns where we made a BIG DEAL out of Jesus at Christmastime.

Even at my secular elementary school, we read the Christmas story from the Bible and memorized large portions of Luke 2 to recite at the annual Christmas pageant.

On every corner, it was common to see manger scenes and all sorts of religious Christmas symbols. Making a big deal out of Baby Jesus was not politically incorrect.

However, that was a long time ago – many years before people got so “goofy” about all things related to Baby Jesus.
