Remembering Karen and the fun we had on our ROAD TRIP. I have no idea where those photos are. They are safe, just on a cloud somewhere!!!!! Losing Karen only makes me feel the loss of Bobby more. She was one of the few people who really knew Bobby. No one here in Florida ever met Bobby, except Danny. I have been more Debbie the last few days than Sarah. Few people really understand the 2 sides to me. They either know me as Debbie, Bobby’s Mom or as Sarah, Danny’s wife. Karen KNEW ME AS BOTH.
This was from our Road Trip. We were at Karen’s Ex-In-lawshouse in Jerseyville., Illinois. Near my hometown. Where I went to school.
I have always considered the Lyiming’s Family.

Day 19
It matters that you START. Baby steps are OKAY if that is what is needed.
What A Wonderful Day In Our Neck Of The Woods/Day 17
I thought I was going to have a bad day today because this is my best friends first birthday in Heaven. Yet, I spent part of last night talking her her kids and my God Children. That helped.
The Turkeys were here for hours today. That was unusual because they normally just past through quite rapidly. The first 2 sets of photos were just a few minutes apart. The latter photos were over a long period of time.
I never tire of watching them.
There was deer in the yard today. I didn’t see any babies. She wasn’t here very long.
The deer photos below are from either Tuesday or Wednesday.
Momma and the babies.
Annie Working On Our Driveway.
The huge pile that as sitting IN OUR DRIVEWAY was finally smoothed out.
Can’t Forget Baby Girl.
I worked on the floor some more. I had not really washed the floor well in a while.
I now have one less box in the den. I finally put the bookcase in the kitchen. The book shelves are full. Pictures later.
I vacuumed.
It’s getting late and I don’t know if all of the photos will post. Stopping now. More to come.
Getting Past The Arguments/ Day 16 Of My Health And Wellness Challenge
I am having a hard time getting past the constant arguments from the past few days. Danny can just shrug them off and continue with whatever he is doing. I have never been able to do that. Oh, I will try and act like I am ok but I am a long way from OKAY! Not in the mood to write more right now but wanted to keep my promise to write something everyday.
Having A Positive Mindset Is Helping / Vacation News
Ever since I accepted Neisha Loves It’s September challenge, my mood over all has been better. More positive. Less negative. I am working really hard on it. It’s been easier getting up and getting things done. I am not as ready to tear into Danny when he says or does something that bothers me. I still comment on it more than I should. I am trying to level out my tone. Saying that : Danny and I just had a huge BLOW UP. Over what was a simple misunderstanding. HUGE. I was doing really well until he made a comment on how I speak. I don’t always use the right words. Once I said dumpsters meaning trash cans. I am really not even sure if in this case,it was me who was wrong. It doesn’t matter. I kept quiet until he made fun of me for whatever it is I said Or he thought I said. I am not sure I will ever be able to sit still when I am made fun of for my speech. He made fun of me and I EXPLODED. Until a few years ago, I had never really argued or got upset with anyone. If I did, I was calm about it. Unless someone did something to Bobby or another child. The Momma Bear will always fight back.
What’s really bad, is after this happens, I feel stupid for saying whatever it is I said. In this case: Both phrases are used interchangeably. I looked it up. Yet, I still feel as if I did something wrong. (I am not talking about my blowing up, because that was wrong).
NOW I AM HAVING TROUBLE GETTING OUT OF THIS MOOD.
It’s hard for me to come back after we ARGUE/FIGHT. I usually apologize even if I don’t feel like I said Or said anything wrong. I try and take full responsibility for my part. It’s really hard to do when I don’t feel as if I did anything wrong. I can’t just shake it off. Danny already has.
I am so Excited about out upcoming VACATION. We haven’t more than a few days in a long time. A REAL VACATION and doing it with masks social distancing.
A WIN! WIN!
I spend most of the last 2 weeks searching places to stay near Avon Park and Sebring, Florida. Both towns are a short distance from the park and where we live. Yet, A world away. No work radios for one. No running to the park whenever someone needs something. No mail run to the park. Until Friday, I didn’t know if Danny would get the time off. Yet, I was excited and looked for rentals anyway. WOW! Have prices gone up. Not because we are entering SNOWBIRD season but because of COVID 19 and the additional cost of cleaning and supplies. Added cleaning time. We both get that as I am sure all of you do also. I understand the charges. If we were using Danny’s money for the trip, we would be staying home. It cost me an additional $500 hundred dollars than back in March when I was looking before. And March was SNOWBIRD SEASON. The problem is: Danny hasn’t received any more pay for all the extra cleaning he has to do EVERY DAY/ ALL DAY LONG. No extra help for any of them. Again, I know, everyone of you is facing the same thing. Groceries and toiletries have doubled and tripled. So what did I do. I found the perfect SPOT. The ideal RENTAL. The only thing better was if it could have been within a few feet of the railroad tracks. LOL The rental was ONLY $90.00 a night. (Before all of the other charges) It is within a mile of tracks. It overlooks a LAKE. It has a huge porch. From what everyone reported: Great AC with lots of fans. (Danny can bring his electric heater). I intend to set it lower than at home. They claim it has LIGHTENING FAST HIGH SPEED INTERNET. 200 mbps
Anything over 10 is good for us. With Frontier we get close to 1 Mbps. Sometimes a little over. Often under.
With Viasat we get anywhere from it not working everytime it looks like rain…..to maybe 50 Mbps a few times a month. Paying a fortune for bad service. It goes out almost every day except in the winter.
Our VIEW UP CLOSE ALL WE GET IS LIGHTNING HITTING OUR TOWER. How many people have a huge tower a few feet from their bedroom window.?Not doing anything. We do.
We have loss thousands of dollars on things inside the house. I unplug every computer and phone. when it begins to storm.
January yard of the month
Special to Highlands Sun
Jan 16, 2020
The following was copied and pasted from the Highlands Sun.
I still can’t find the before photo that I saw over the weekend. I can see why they won the award. The house was really rin down. The yard was dirt. No fence. OLD AND RUN DOWN. PLAIN.
“The Avon Park Founders Garden Club presented the Yard of the Month Award to, from left to right: Laura, Bill and Enrique Clay. Not pictured is Miguel Clay. The yard is at 600 S. Lake Blvd.COURTESY PHOTO
AVON PARK — Once upon a time there was a little house that dreamed of becoming a fairy tale cottage. The little house was purchased by Bill and Laura Clay a year and a half ago. Today that little house is the cottage it was meant to be.
When the Avon Park Founders Garden Club looks for a yard to present with an award, it is not only the landscape that is looked at, but the whole effect of the house and yard. The yard at 600 S. Lake Blvd., across from Lake Tulane, is enclosed with a white picket fence. Bordering the outside of the fence is blooming blue plumbago. The inside of the fence is ringed with Asiatic Jasmine. Dwarf azaleas run across the patio in front of the house. An old bicycle is painted white and leans against a tree in the front yard.
Other plants in the yard include tibichina, oleander, bird of Paradise, camillia, Royal Poinciana, Christmas palm, hibiscus, viburnum, white Mexican petunia, coleus, milkweed, desert rose and cactus. A variety of fruit trees are also in the yard — pink banana, Indian banana, pear, kumquat, limequat, papaya and lichi nut.
While Robbins Nursery was involved in planning the landscape, Bill and his sons Enrique and Miguel do the maintenance and additional planting. What makes this house a charming fairy tale cottage is the addition of “gingerbread” doors on the front.
The Avon Park Founders Garden Club presented the January Yard of the Month Award to the Clay family. Now the little house will live happily ever after.”
NOW I NEED TO FIND THE PHOTO BEFORE THE RESTORATION BEGAN. I saw it when looking for the rental. NOW I CAN’T FIND IT. LOL
Really excited. We are going to Avon Park mainly to see the old depot that is now a museum.
“The Avon Park Historical Society does more than collect, preserve and showcase the history of our area. We take an active role serving as a resource for the community. Our research room in the museum, our Sunday programs, the dining car operation, our upcoming celebration of the pioneers of Avon Park, our about-to-be-released historical video of the early days of Avon Park, all attest to our efforts to serve our community. Open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We are also open the first Saturday of each month, selling beverages, snacks and desserts. The Depot Museum 3 N. Museum Avenue Avon Park, FL 33825 (863)-453-3525 Visit our website“
“The museum was formerly the Seaboard Coastline Depot that opened in 1926. In 1981 it became a museum. In 1986 a 1948 California zephyr dining car was added. Luncheons are served for groups of 15-40 people. The building is in good condition. Outside is stuccoed, a pinkish color with white trimming. The building was built for separation of the whites and coloreds.”
There is a platform right next to the museum and the tracks. Really close.
I really wanted to stay at the Historical Jacaranda Hotel but WIth Covid 19 it wasn’t a great idea. Many of the services aren’t being done right now. The restaurant is closed. I would want to sit in some of the main areas and I wouldn’t feel comfortable now. The rooms are nice. I was going to take the larger suite but it doesn’t have a refrigerator, microwave or table and chairs. Not feasible for a 2 week stay.
The Suites are on the 3rd floor with balconies. I really wanted that. We could have listened to the train whistles .
Right across the street is the Depot Restaurant.
THE FOOD PART OF OUR VACATION First off : DELIVERY is EVERYTHING We don’t get delivery .
I am on the lookout for SUSHI.
I saw that PIZZANOS Delivers all over Avon Park. We have one in Lake Wales that use to deliver to our front gate or to the RANGER STATION. They aren’t doing that now. Danny and I love Pizzanos. Especially their huge salads.
I was so sick Saturday. In bed or on the couch most of it.
This morning I felt almost human again. I was upbeat and ready to tackle a number of things. Like catch up on the Summit going on this weekend by Dr. Ken D Berry And His wife Nurse Neisha Salas Berry. It All ABout THE PROPER HUMAN DIET. It’s amazing how a simple challenge that Neisha Loves It started has given me a POSITIVE ATTITUDE. MOST OF THE TIME. That’s better than a bad attitude most of the time.
On The Couch with a cat in my face.
Baby Girl had to be with me all day.
I got the dishes in the dishwasher and ran it. Then I promptly filled it back up again by cleaning out the refrig. Mostly Danny’s uneaten food.
Danny and BabyGirl.
Taken 2 years ago of our house. The yard was pretty brown.
Countdown On Friday.
I finally started a YOUTUBE page for Sarah’s Attic Of Treasures I don’t know why it took so long. Here, Danny has been working hard to make money on his account someday. Why Wasn’t I doing the same thing. I used this photo of me. At the time it was the only one I found of just me. This was taken by either Danny or Bobby in Colorado in 2004. My huge photo of The Grand Tetons Is in the background. I wish I still had it.
It’s amazing what happens when a person defrosts’ their refrigerator. The door actually closes. I have a freezer again. A small one. Lol. The refrigerator was one we bought when we first moved into the RV 12 years ago. It sat outside for 5 plus years until we moved into this house 9 years ago this month. It’s been a godsend to us. I need to take better care of it.
Too Bad this freezer we bought around the same time only lasted 2 years. We stored it inside the Cracker house until it broke. The photo here was before we started working on the house. Before we gutted almost everything but this kitchen. I wish we still had this flooring. I would come here to get away from Danny. Only thing was: He usually followed me. This is where I am sitting now. The windows were replaced. That table is in the living room . I use it for my desk top.
Danny and I were participating in a live on a friend’s YouTube Channel on Friday Night. I laughed at the time. I am not laughing anymore. We can’t get the TIMEOUT UNBLOCKED . The page owner hasn’t been able to overturn it. She had encouraged Danny to post the link to his Facebook page earlier. The Timeout Was only supposed to be for 5 minutes. This is Sunday and this took place in the wee hours Saturday morning.
Thank you for all of the VIEWS< COMMENTS AND SUBSCRIBES to Danny’s YOUTUBE ACCOUNT AND THIS POST.
One Of Those Moments. I have this photo (Not red) in a couple of places in the house. It was a special moment for us in Illinois 6 years ago. Danny asked me Saturday night where it was taken. The car is the one Dad left for me when he died last year. The photo was at the Family Farm In Illinois. Obviously, It wasn’t taken in Florida. We DON’T Get SNOW OR COLD WEATHER.
Photo is out of order. My almost defrosted refrigerator.
I upload all of Danny’s Train Videos to my Sarah’s Attic Of Treasures Account On Youtube. Then I started loading my favorite songs . LOL I have so many. Once I started I couldn’t stop, Especially when It came to Elvis.
It’s Been A Very Busy Day/ Happy / Day 11 September 11, 2020
It wouldn’t be right to start this post and not REMEMBER SEPTEMBER 11, 2001
NEVER FORGOTTEN. ALWAYS REMEMBERED. GOD BLESS AMERICA
I was up way before Danny this morning. I woke up around 5 AM and couldn’t go back to sleep.
Not much caffeine but I did start with a Chai Latte in my extra large mug.
MOO!
Then I did some Bible Study
Ran the dishwasher.
And Got Danny up after his alarm went off 2xs.
Baby Girl had trouble getting up as well.
Danny had his Cappuccino. He checked his email. Grabbed his lunch, gave me a QUICK KISS and out the door he went.
Instead of going back to bed I got dressed and started cleaning the kitchen floor.
While the floor was drying I continued reading in the Bible.
I downloaded everything for the Proper Human DIet Summit that was starting at 1 PM Eastern Time. Noon Central Time. It was being hosted by Dr Ken D Berry And His Wife Nurse Neisha Berry (Neisha Loves It)
I also had to load ZOOM since I seldom use it.
After I made sure I could log into the summit I went for a walk in the misty rain. The hot and very humid rain. Waiting for cooler temperatures. Then I took a shower and Started watching the summit. I admit, I got out my other computer and use it while listening at times.
Danny got home around 4: 45 PM.
During one of the lives.
It poured again.
Waiting for Danny to get home. Family Time.
That would be wonderful. LOL
Danny had some GREAT NEW. He will be OFF NOT ONE WEEK BUT 2 WEEKS September 21 through October 4 I PRACTICALLY INSISTED. I have been planing at least a week for the last week. The choices were : KISSIMMEE OR AVON PARK/SEBRING
We need to videotape AMTRAK. We were in Kissimmee in March. We have NEVER BEEN TO AVON PARK /SEBRING together.
So I asked Danny if he had decided which one? “FOLKSTON”
He was serious. FOLKSTON ,GEORGIA A great choice. But not now. COVID 19 and traveling OUT OF STATE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY We still need to get the AC on my car fixed. There is a long story as to why it hasn’t been done yet. Danny promised to let me know where he wants to go this WEEKEND. I NEED TO RENT A PLACE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
We leave for VACATION in a little over a week. WHERE TO? DESIGNATION UNDECIDED!!!! COME ON DANNY.
AS far as eating right today: I have yet to break my fast. It is now 8:26 PM. Last Meal was around this time last night. For Once I haven’t been thinking about food all day. Til Now.
