Hearing people say “remember before we had children? When we still had a life…” Why would you say something like this? And why would you actually say it in front of your kids? It makes me so angry to hear that. And it makes me angry when it’s said in front of children. What they might hear could be down the line of “hey you, you destroyed my life…”
I will send out an email each day for 21 days to those who sign up for ‘Momma’s 21 Days Of Inspiration #2″. You will find my hopefully inspirational and motivational thoughts in this email. If you are interested in signing up, send me an email to email@example.com(Subject: Momma’s 21 Days Of Inspiration #2)
This something that makes me truly mad. It’s when I hear parents talk down to their kids. When they talk to their children as if they are worthless or idiots. I wonder how you can do this. How you can let yourself go so badly that you take away the one thing your child will need in life: Self confidence.
How can you be so selfish to stomp all over your flesh and blood, even if it is only verbally? How can you call your child “little shit”, “pisser” or “this one” or “this idiot”? How can you make your child feel unworthy of your company? Why would you call your child “wimp”? What makes parents feel they have the right to do this?
“3 things you should know about me: I love my life, but it’s nothing like I thought it would be. I’m in my 30’s and already going gray (see point #1). And occasionally I write. This is my story of faith, family, and figuring it all out. Maybe it’s your story too. Welcome!”
“Welcome to 31 Days of Praying For Your Family, friends!
Praying for my family is something that’s really been on my heart over the last few months. Even more, I’ve been growing more and more convicted about praying SCRIPTURE over my family. Praying specifically for my children, for my marriage, and for my role as a wife and mom.
This month, that’s exactly what we are going to do!
Each day, I’ll give you a passage of Scripture & a prayer to pray. I’ll have these all typed out for you, but I’ll ALSO have them available as printable cards. That way, you can save each card each day and print them out to use over and over again each month!
(And this page right here? This is where you’ll come back to find a list of every single post!)
Nothing is more powerful, or more truthful than God’s Word. My prayer for all of us this month is that as we spend time in Scripture and lift up our families to the Lord, our own hearts would be changed as well, and made more like His.”
“For the month of October, I’d love it if you would join us in reading through the Gently God Guides Bible reading plan. The Scriptures clearly promise that if we are willing to follow, then he will show us the path we should take. Ready to join in?
How to Participate
If you’ve never joined a Bible reading challenge here before, each day we follow the plan and read the passage. You can share what you are learning on social media or just keep it between you and God. My goal through the reading is to draw closer to Jesus, and I want that for you too!
For this month, we will use the hashtag #gentlyGodguides . Almost every day, I post on Instagram orFacebook about what I’m learning through the passages and sometimes I post the Bible journaling pages I work on throughout the study.
On Fridays, I post a summary of what I learned through the week here on the blog and invite you to share what God is teaching you in the comments.”
I would Love to know What Events You are doing on your Blogs.
I would love to say any and all of them.
Leave a message here or email me @firstname.lastname@example.org
That’s all for now.
I need some Non- Biblical Events to Post.
October seems to be a good month for events and projects . Everyone is still in back to school and end of the summer mode.
What is going on in your neck of the woods?
Oh how I wish I was mobile and able to help at the park this week. They are getting ready for a huge wedding and reception Friday Afternoon and Evening. After Hours. EVERYONE at Lake Kissimmee State Park is getting it ready. Even our biologist has been working hard to help out since we are seriously shorthanded.
Both of our managers are down in Day Use Area /Marina cleaning picnic tables. I heard our manager say he was on top of the large pavilion.
I normally would be right there helping.
Not on top of the roof though. I don’t get paid enough for that. LOL
Are you ready for October?
I wrote most of the post below here over the weekend and on Monday. I am getting ready for October 1.
Here are just a few of the many events going on in Bloggerland. If you have an event or know of one I would love to share it here all month long.
One of my favorite books of the Bible is Proverbs. I studied it with Good Morning Girls/Women Living Well a couple of months ago. I missed a lot due to hospital stays so I thought I would re-read this wonderful book this month.
I will be posting from their blog and Facebook page the lessons they shared with us.
Time Warp Wife is starting her class in Proverbs this month
I am looking forward to it.

Danny has finally starting cutting down on some of his
“Extra” Treats that cost more than we can spend.
I cut back a long time ago.
This has made it possible for us to
SPLURGE on that one ITEM we each want.
His is his WINE. We buy the $10.00 JUG instead of a more expensive brand.
I seldom even have a sip any more and I miss my glass of wine at night.
Wine makes my hot flashes worse.
I drink Chai Lattes in the fall and winter months.
So far it hasn’t cooler off enough for them. On with the OCTOBER CHALLENGE.
31 Days of Living Well and Spending Zero: Freeze Your Spending. Change Your Life.Paperback– August 27, 2015
Living Well, Spending Less: 12 Secrets of the Good LifePaperback– December 30, 2014
I am going to do all I can to follow plan all month long.
One thing I won’t do is not take out my $40.00 for Christmas Gifts.
This is something I do all year long. I take it out of MY money to spend.
This money is for Christmas, New Years, and both of our birthdays.
The last 2 years I had to use it on for BILLS.
But at least I had it saved up.
There are 2 Main Events listed here and other smaller ones that you may also do.
If the Living Well Spend Zero is not possible…..This month. Sign up and do it next month or after the New Year.
Start working on Ruth’s Living Well and Spending Less or her “12 Secrets Of The Good Life.”
She really is awesome. She emails back and is just a good friend to have.
Thursday, October 1, 2015…. I worked hard to find events and projects to do in October. I had them started and waiting to add the rest of the information when it came… I had PLANNED ON GETTING EVERYTHING EARLY WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 30. Well as you know, plans don’t always work out the way you want them to. As usual, for me, I got laid up in bed for most of the last 4 days.
So you are getting them a day or 2 late. Sorry about that.
I am feeling a bit better.
Weak as a newborn kitty. LOL Are newborn kitty’s weak?
Happy October First.
“I’ll be using the hashtag #MakingYourHomeAHaven on Instagram. “
This Starts On October 7 |But I plan to Start this Wednesday October 1 (Sarah) ‘Week 1: October 7th -Go buy an extra large candle and light a candle everyday in your home.
I will be starting mine in the morning but you can start yours at dinner time or whenever is convenient for you. I will be placing mine in the kitchen – the main hub of my home. Each time the candle catches your eye, say a prayer for peace in your home.
Live out the fruit of the Spirit of peace and patience this week.”
I am writing this the last week of September for October the first.
I am anxiously awaiting October even though it won’t cool off for another few weeks.
As you know this has been a rough summer for me personally.
For Danny as far as work goes and us as a couple.
None of you knew me before I got sick again
I just started blogging in March. Didn’t really get started until June.
By then summer was here and had been for a couple of months already. We were wearing down from the heat and humidity.
Many of you were just getting past a cold winter.
I want to shout. Fall is here or will be soon. Can’t quite do that yet.
Believe me, when that day comes and it is cool outside for the very first time,
I will shout it all the way to Colorado and beyond.
I also realize that as much as I hate summers in Florida…
As much as I can wait for cold weather and sweaters….
While I dream of Snow and my Colorado mountains…..
there are many of you who dread the forthcoming months
as much as I do springtime.
I would love to hear how you feel about the months ahead.
No matter where you are. In the Northern Hemisphere
Or the Southern Hemisphere…..
I want to have a conversation about the weather.
As boring as it can be, it takes up a lot of our time.
How many of you out there :
Hate it because it means winter will follow?
Same for spring and summer.
How do you feel about them?
What are you passionate about during your favorite season?
What makes you want to hibernate during your least favorite?
How do you handle the highs and lows?
You know how and why I feel the way I do.
It’s your turn.
